"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2" was the equivalent of eating Mexican food prepared by someone who doesn't understand the meaning of spice; boring, bland, and unfortunately part of a four course meal. This also sums up my feelings for the entire series. While I found it morbid that children were being sacrificed as tributes for a wealthy and detached capitol in the first movie, my emotional connection didn’t extend much further than that initial feeling. As characters died, I felt no pain. I didn’t long for them to return. The writing, plot development, and forced emotional displays of the characters is what ultimately frustrated me. It made me want to get out of the “young adult section” and find something with a little more flavor.
Be good to each other,
