If you miss the days of rummaging through record bins at Tower Records, then I recommend the documentary "All Things Must Pass.” As you long for those forgotten days, remember the ability to support your local independent record store is still in your hands. That is what this movie impressed upon me. It made me fall more madly in love with Easy Street Records in West Seattle. I live for the thrill of rummaging through the bins, discovering something new, listening intentionally to the new music being played over the loud speaker, the conversations with fellow enthusiasts and more than anything, the sense of community. That’s what I get from my record store. That’s what these spaces used to be about. That’s what they can become again.
