It took a movie like "American Sniper" for me to fully understand the sacrifice of men like my brother. And I could spend the next few lines discussing whether or not we should have been in Iraq. That was not the point of this movie. This movie set out to pull back the curtain on life in the modern military and its endless deployments. Very few war movies have come close to showing the raw and real nature of battle, combat, PTSD and reacclimation to society as this film. I walked out of the theatre with a better appreciation for those who have served. I also walked out hoping our leaders weigh all their options before making such life altering decisions.
Thanks for entering my world,
