After a 2016 Seattle International Film Festival filled with way too many dramas, it was a relief to sit down to a major release like "Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping." If you loved any of Lonely Island's work from Saturday Night Live, then you will love this movie too. It is irreverent, sophomoric, childish, and a perfect mirror for the world of current pop music to see itself. Promotion, awards, groups, break-ups, solo albums, touring, wealth, and the fame of others are all fair game. At the end of the day, no one is left standing, which is perfectly fine by me. Pop music deserved this one and we all deserved to laugh at their expense.
Be good to each other,
