At the center of every album is a musical thesis. Ryan Adam's "Heartbreaker" is an emotional blend of anxiety and rock. Every song seems to drip with angst, love, and how one is perceived. The music doesn't make this declaration in a loud or boastful way, rather it achieves its aim with quiet pulls at the heart. Adam's doesn't seem to make these moments up either. They seem to have materialized from real experiences, because of this there is a certain level of authenticity here that is often absent from most modern-day music. As a listener and consumer of music, this is much appreciated. I also cherish the wearing of one's emotion on their sleeves. I can also appreciate that sentiment.
Be good to each other,
