Once again, I blown away by the story that can be told in less than 30 minutes. The 2016 Oscar Nominated Short Films did not disappoint. Each film, in their own way, tells of powerful story; overlap of religions in the Middle East, violence in Kosovo, a father’s devotion, the power of love, and real war stories from Afghanistan. Ranging from 12 to 30 minutes, some made me laugh others caused me to reflect, but each carried their own weight. When compared to their long format brothers and sisters, these films deserve to be seen. If you run across any of this year’s nominees, I recommend taking a couple of hours and treating yourself.
Be good to each other,
