As moviegoers, we rarely get a clear view of our heroes at their most frail state. "Mr. Holmes" brilliantly defies that cinematic idea. All of our lives and with remake after remake, we've followed the detective work of a young Sherlock Holmes as he solved case after case with a combination of youthful smugness and intelligence often missing in modern day superhero movies. Never were we made to think about his humanity, his succumbing to the pains of old age and his hopes to reconcile the past while there is still time left. This movie bravely went where very few fictional series go and now it is my solemn hope others will follow suit
Thanks for entering my world,
