If you consider yourself a foodie of any degree, you must see “City of Gold.” Chronicling the impact and power of LA Times food critic Jonathan Gold, this movie pulls back the curtain on his process as he eats his way through the city he loves. Within each review, those of us who don’t call LA home are given a new perspective on the city. We are allowed to see the power of observation, civic pride and the unique ability food possess to bring people together. I, for one, walked out of the theatre with a new appreciation for the City of Angels. No longer is it just a series of strip malls. It is food, culture and the best of America. A critic did that for me and I am confident it can do the same for you.
Thanks for entering my world,
