I am not usually a fan of musicals on film. When something makes the leap from stage to screen, I often feel like something is lost in translation. For the first half of "Into the Woods," something seemed different. The acting was superb. The story flowed perfectly. I was on the edge of my seat. Then I was confronted with the ending. The last half of the movie is clunky; like we are moving from a mansion to a condo and we don't know what to do with all this stuff clunky. Plot lines ran crazy in the streets. Songs seemed out of place. The acting fell flat. I was left puzzled, but also satisfied. Why? Because no one ever wants to be proven wrong.
Thanks for entering my world,
