If you think our entertainment is too violent, see the new "Macbeth" and remind yourself we've always been this way. Now, I have known of the violence of the "Macbeth" story since high school. I was one of the lucky ones who had a great English teacher who required us to read the classics, but it has been almost 15 years since I have given any thought to the story. This new cinematic iteration of the story was a powerful reminder of the violence, carnage, lust for power, and psychosis that comes over some men when confronted with power. This is seen on the screen with powerful acting, stunning cinematography, and a commitment to the original dialogue. On more than one occasion, I found myself quoting along with the actors on the screen, as if awoken from a decade and a half slumber. If you recall the violent story, you might find yourself in the same position.
Be good to each other,
