Cinephile No. 601 "War Dogs"
I don't know who to attribute this quote to, but I've held it with me for a very long time, "War is the devolution of man." In its wake, it leaves pain, misery, destruction, and thousands of other truths I wish weren't associated with the human race. What I find even more sickening is the fact that people profit from the failure of humanity. "War Dogs" is a dramatic/comedic look at two of those people. As I watched them game the system to increase their wealth all the while ripping families apart and leaving fatherless and orphaned children in their shadow, my stomach turned. When I left the theater, a simple belief was hardened within me, war should rarely be the answer and never should it be our first choice.
Be good to each other,
-Nathan
