Musical Thesis: Ryan Adams "Live at Carnegie Hall"

At the center of every album is a musical thesis. Ryan Adams "Live at Carnegie Hall" displays an artist who is in command of his craft. With deep and emotional songs from the depths of his soul, he owns the stage with each strum of the guitar and every howl of his broken voice. On this record it is more than the music and the stage, it is the personal delivery. It is an artist pulling back the curtain and allowing his fans to see life on the inside. Naturally, I understand why artists avoid these sort of revelations, but with Ryan Adams there is a mutual understanding. The musician and the audience share an emotional path, therefore the revelation acts like a mirror and the music becomes even more.

Be good to each other,
