Cinephile No. 565 "The Huntsman: Winter's War"
"The Huntsman: Winter's War" is basically a beauty pageant and about as exciting. Seriously, think about it. The whole story is centered around two women who are at war, because a mirror told one that the other will have a child that is more beautiful. Then we are thrown two beautiful actors playing the part of Huntsman and you soon realize all that is missing is the swimsuit competition. Like most pageants, I found the talent lacking, the concept boring, and the plot predictable. Unlike every pageant I have ever attended, I didn't have the power to leave this theatre; a $15 ticket is an investment. So, instead I stayed put hoping they would crown the winner sooner rather than later; an hour and a half later I was granted my freedom.
Be good to each other,
