Cinephile No. 509 “The Grump”
If you've ever desired to see a Finnish version of "Grumpy Old Men," and I know you have, may I recommend "The Grump." While the Finnish adventure focuses on one man, there is still plenty of grumpiness to go around. Our cantankerous old man has an accident at home and must stay with his family in the city while he visits with doctors and heals from the fall. Thrust into modern life, the order he enjoys is thrown into chaos and a world where nothing makes sense. At times, the old man is frustrating and irritating, at others as his shell begins to break, he becomes sweet and loving. You know, just like every old man in your life.
Thanks for entering my world,
