Quotable Me

"Since my return from Rio de Janeiro, I have found American news and the things we choose to focus our attention on depressing. Then I ran across this quote again and it reminded me to keep my chin up. "Society becomes great when old men plant trees whose shade they shall never sit in." Deep breath. Keep pushing forward.

"To be blunt, pay in the nonprofit world sucks, the hours are long and the stress is high. But tonight at our "Back to School Celebration," I watched families struggling to "make it" get all the school supplies they need and take family photos for maybe the first time ever. It then dawned on me, my riches lie elsewhere."

Thanks for entering my world,
